Find answers to common questions about our events
How can I register for events?
SHA members can register for all events through our online portal. Most events require pre-registration as spaces are limited. Members receive email notifications about upcoming events and registration openings.
Are events open to non-members?
Some larger events like the annual Health Summit and Career Expo are open to non-members for a fee. However, most workshops, seminars, and networking events are exclusive benefits for SHA members.
Can I get academic credit for attending events?
Many of our workshops and conferences are recognized by Zurich universities for elective credit. We provide certificates of attendance and participation that you can submit to your program coordinator for consideration.
How can I present my research at SHA events?
We open calls for abstracts before our research symposia and conferences. Submission guidelines are published on our website approximately three months before each event. Members receive priority consideration for presentation slots.
Are there opportunities to help organize events?
Absolutely! We welcome student volunteers to assist with event planning and execution. This is a great way to develop leadership skills and network with speakers and attendees. Contact our Events Committee to express your interest.
Are events conducted in English or German?
Most of our major conferences and lectures are conducted in English to accommodate international students and speakers. Smaller workshops may be in German or English, which will be clearly indicated in the event description.
